I Calculated My Addiction To Call Of Duty 4, Am I Crazy?
« on: March 14, 2009, 03:19:00 AM »

Dec 26th 2008 I bought Call of Duty 4, 25 Days later on Jan 20th I earned my Gold AK at 3d 15h play time,
but then I decided I was onto 1st prestige that same night.

It took me only 40 more days to earn 10th prestige, 67 Days after I bought CoD4
I had spent 13 days 12 hours 35 minutes in game, and I finally earned the 10th Prestige, 13/67 = 0.194 Game / Not game ratio!

306(total hours)-87(hours until first prestige)=219(21.9 hours per prestige)

Double XP weekend!
9th Prestige 56037 kills, 32413 deaths, 5756 headshots 12d 18h 3m Saturday, February 28, 2009, 2:49:48 AM
10th Prestige 59948 Kills, 34555 deaths, 6122 headshots 13d 12h 35m Monday, March 02, 2009, 8:26:36 PM
Difference:  3911 Kills,  2142 deaths, 366 headshots, 0d 18h 32m play time / 65 hours 16 minutes total time = 0.28 Game / Not game ratio, during double EXP!

4.41 hours played per day till 10th prestige not counting the 10 hours rental play time
306(total hours)-87(hours until first prestige)=219(21.9 hours per prestige)

Has your game / not game ratio ever been more then .28? I know all this because I took pics of my screen every time I leveled or got above 40 kills (good score).

My KD was 1.74 last week with a streak of 32 (M16 Domination on Strike!) now its about 1.71 because I was playing HCHQ oops! PM me if you wanna play after I fix my xbox.  mad.gif

I also made this pic with my high scores and golden guns I got so far:

My youtube montage is in my signature at the bottom of this post check it out, give it comments, maybe even rate it good smile.gif

Admittedly I am an unashamed CoD 4 Addict. The campaign has a feel of real combat and the online game play is one of the most popular around.

I am a 10th prestige and reached it in around 13 days game play if I remember correctly. This has not stopped me and I still play on line. I often wonder to what end and what aim I have now.

I have never considered the golden weapons a real goal as whenever one achieves ones golden goal the sense of achievement is thoroughly devalued by the accusations of 'cage-matching your way there'. Is this a frequent gripe with the games online occupants.

You are not alone in your addiction to what is a masterpiece of game code. The game is a classic and shall live on as one. Game addiction is not a bad thing, Just make usre you have time for other things.

Regards
