Burnout Revenge

hey there guys i got burnout revenge for 360 and am playing it through my acer widescreen monitor on a VGA adapter. anyone know why it won't go "full" screen, it has like a half inch black box around the outside. anyone else got this problem.

no not possible atm i get it aswell, its annoying i know but not that much to put me off. it does it on Oblivion aswell

phew thx for the reply man, i thought i had a fucked up system cuz i searched endlessly on googl with no luck. hopefully they release a patch or sumthin cuz games like GRAW and PGR3 don do this. damn u EA it ruined my experince by 0.0000000000000019 %

Its prolly the overscan compensation that the devs used as to not overdraw on a TV too much and waste image outside the screen. A monitor does not overscan thus you see the black bars in return.

Some devs make sure their VGA compatibility scales the screen to full resolution. But still sometimes you can see stuff like buggy lines at the top of the screen that are hidden on TV screens.

its probaly due to the fact your monitor is actially 16x10 not 16x9 so there is a bit of black.

dunno if it 16 x ????? all i know is that its widescreen and games like GRAW have no probs. i played with all the possible resolutions in the console settings with no luck (meh) an image is better than none ehh.

if it was a 16x10 (standard widescreen monitor) issue vs. a 16x9 (standard widescreen tv) issue, then it would just be black bars at the top, but he is getting them all the way around.

preety darn good bang for your buck, especially in a dorm with surround sound. i got no overscan problems or bleeding, i highly recommend.
