December 15, 2005 - For any flying freaks out there, you'll be happy to know that Ubisoft's Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII will be released onto the Xbox and Xbox 360 platforms in Q4 of the publisher's financial year. Essentially, that means it should be coming out before April of next year.
The flight action title will give players the opportunity to fly up to 38 World War II planes over the course of an 18 mission campaign. Your missions will take you to many of the major theatres of WWII air combat like Germany, England, France, Morocco, Pearl Harbor, Midway and Tokyo. In addition to the single player aspect, the game will also support play for up to 16 players over Xbox Live in a dogfight deathmatch mode or cooperative play over 10 additional missions.
Blazing Angels is more an of arcade-like flight combat game than simulation. In it you'll be able to command your own squad own team of wingmen that advance their skills as they progress through the missions. Players can expect detailed graphical and battle effects to enhance the play experience when the game releases early next year.
