hello,
Iv just brought a wireless adaptor and cant get the darn thing to work with my laptop.
Im running vista premium and Vodafone 3G USB.
I want to run the xbox from this connection via an ad hoc network but for some reason the laptop and xbox wont talk to each other properly, on occasion they know the other is there but connection tests fail. iv tried loads of different things and looked all over the net without much joy.
It should be noted that i tried the ether net method first, this worked first time when i plugged it in with no alterations to my system...............then it just died without warning and i have been unable to get it back so hence im trying the wireless as i thought it would work straight away....how wrong i was!
What i need, as i dont really have a knack for networking, is someone to talk through every stage in setting up the ad hoc network and sharing my connection in simple terms which i can easily follow along with the settings that my xbox should have.
