Progressive Scan Dash Problem

I just got an hdtv that is capable of running 420p 1080i, now in the video settings of the ms dash i switched on the option for 420p and restart the xbox. evo x and the games look fantastic but the ms dash is streched out and distorted. i tried patching the msdash xbe. with the progressive scan patcher but nothing has change.

how can i fix this!!! thanx in advance
