Is My Hard Drive Toast?

try putting it back into the xbox and format it, formatting in windows does not touch the firmware that is where the sshdd.bin is written so it should still work in the xbox.

try that and see if the xbox will see it again, if you have a x360 usb pro you could try formatting it with their hdd hacker tool

Its toast

The hdddss is signed for your hard drive's serial number and hd identification
there is no way to change your hitachi hd to id different
to use another hddss.bin as of yet

Shonk is correct. If you format an original drive on your PC it's done and you cannot go back.
