Is This Bios Related?
« on: May 30, 2004, 10:05:00 PM »

my question is ..... i want to replace my dvd drive with another HDD..... and was
wondering since the xbox looks for a dvd drive on boot .... is there a bios hack that will
allow me to bypass this .... or is this just not possible?

there is no current bios that will allow this, nor will any dashboard or emulator or any other homebrew support it
i do think that if you run linux with a cromwell bios you can do this, but as mentioned from a normal bios there is no software that supports it

Actualy there is if you edit M7 or any other non-locked Bios in Xbtool you can set it to bypass the DVD drive but you cannot have 2 HD running at the same time

Yep, they disable the dvd which only enables you to remove it and use the space in the box for another hdd. You must aslo make an ide switch and power splitter.
