Hello there.

I've just flashed my xbox with the 4982.06 bios, i'm using an X2 lite.

Flash went fine, xbox boots fine, however nothing launches from EVOX now, it just sits at the loading screen. If I flash back, everything works fine.

Any ideas?

I'm not using any of the disable files for drive E:.

4981 worked perfectly.  When I updated to 4982, it will get into any dash I want, but refuses to launch any program or game from ANY dash.  I know this is not a 1 person problem, because many people have posted it on the Xecuter forums.  Here is a link...

i have tried this with several evox dash and 2 of the previous ava dash

i CANNOT duplicate these errors

im not saying there is an issue but I have no clue what it is - works 100% here ?

Is there some way I can help you diagnose the problem I/others are having?  I can give you as much information as I have...

One thing I found odd, is that under Avalaunch, the hardware info is screwed up.  Master is listed correctly as WD and the model # and all, but Slave is listed as some really messed up ASCII text.

I've tried more than a couple dashes, they all load.  I just cannot launch ANYTHING from the dashes.  Have no idea why.  Can't even launch a retail game from the dashes.

i just upgraded my bios to 4982 as well and am having the same problem.  I have tried both evox and avalaunch and it keeps freezing at the loading screen.

I also have a 2.3b lite+ chip. 4982 is on the 1st and 2nd bank and my 3rd and 4th banks have the cromwell on them in case of emergency.  I have a thompson dvd drive and a maxtor 120gb hd.

I got the bios of a certain french site called media**** (cant give the specific address but this should be enough of the title for those who know) and the bios checked out ok using the included checker...I will try getting it from another source and see if I still have that problem

Same problem here. Using Ava. The dash will load, but won't launch anything......not even a reboot. I am using the latest 0.48.64 version.

 I have a version 1.2 or 1.3 Xbox. Samsung drive, Maxtor 120gig HDD, X2.3b Lite + chip.

 I hope this gets resolved, as I was looking forward to the bios config utility.

Yeah.. same here.. exact same problem.

And their forums are about as sturdy as their BIOS release. After laboring for what seems like months to tediously type in those stupid numbers just to log in (like that's really necessary, how many people are going to abuse their forums...), I get some error...

"SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'AND f.forum_id = t.forum_id ' at line 4"

Great. Posting the info in this or another thread on this forum would be very much appreciated.

I am using SmartXX with 3259 OS. I flashed X 4982 with the web interface. Works great...

I made a disc for 4982 Bios exactly as I made the disc for the 4981 Bios.  I installed the new bios, restarted and booted up again.  I thought everything was normal.  Then i went to launch a Backup game and it would not boot.  Nothing would.  I tried to boot off a disc but it would not work.  The only XBE that would run was avalaunch.  I went back to 4981 and everything worked fine, so im sticking with it.

V1.0 Xbox.  Xecuter 2.3B Lite+.  60GB Hard drive

I think the problem is the bank 1-2 try to use 3-4

Update worked fine for me.  Flashed all 4 banks w/ flashX

  I think your right about the issue being with banks 1 & 2. It also only seems to affect certain 2.3 chips.

 I have a 2.3b lite +, and I can't use 4982.06 off of banks 1 & 2, but it works fine on 3 & 4.

 weird....I hope they get a fix.
