Windows Programs?
« on: February 11, 2005, 05:28:00 PM »

Is it possible to get Windows programs to run efficiently under an emulator or some such thing?  I've got Linux running all nice and happy like, but would anything I run with an emulater be at all usable??  I'd LOVE to be able to run something like Diablo 2 on it..  Actually, all I could care to use it for was Diablo 2..  I dunno why, but I still love that game...  heh, no real decent hack and slash style RPGish games that are quite as good  :)   I Know diablo 2 works on a <400MHz CP w/32+ MB memory, although only works well if you clear 64 MB, so it would seem that runing through an emulator would be pushing it...    Any thoughts or suggestions? <

You could try and install WineX CVS on Gentoox Linux and run through that, or install VMWARE on Gentoox Linux and emulate Win98SE but that would be VERY slow. <
