Hi my xbox drive has been broken for a long while but I finally got around to ordering a new drive. As i dont have sata capabilitys on my laptop I swapped the circuit board from my old drive into my new drive and its working great (with originals) My Question is my old drive was flashed and Is my new drive flashed since in essence it has the circuit board from my old drive in it. As i have tried a backup of conker relaoded and an very old backup of an old xbox 1 game (that did used to work but it is a bit scratched now) and these are giving me the dirty disk error.

your backups are probably no good,ie;not stealthed or dirty discs or the laser might be having trouble reading the discs.i would assume if the board was from an hacked drive it will boot all fully stealthed games if it has highest firmware version on the board.

be sure your using good backups on nice media with no damge to disc burned with a good burner.
