*request* A Tutorial To Install Vmware On Xbox
« on: November 02, 2004, 02:34:00 AM »

Seems everyone is trying BOCHS X86 Emulator in XBOX.
The tutorial is completely useless, it just wasting our time.
Windows in BOCHS are slowwww... not practical.

Are there any xbox linux expert can provide us (dummy) a simple guideline to intsall VMWare on Gentoox or Xebian?      :luv:

I think, many of us in here are looking for this great tutorial, instead of keep refering BOCHS solution.   :(

VMware is a very expensive program, this would only encourage piracy. Plus if you own vmware  you're going to know how to use it (It's quite easy).

Qemu is a better choice than bochs, simply type emerge qemu in gentoox (With netowrking setup) or download the prebuilt binary for debian.

Qemu is not so easy to use but it's not that hard either check it out here

Bochs is about 270 times slower than native code on integer code. QEMU is about 65 times faster than Bochs.

There is a linux version of it though and it does work on the xbox, that's how the xbox-linux guys booted windows2000 and played that matrix video.

Not worth the hassle though.
