hi i already have a lg 8164-b that i use comfortably to backup my wii games. my question, is there a firmware that will let you backup 360 and wii games on the same drive? or if i choose to put the drive in the 360 with the adapter, along with 8x faster read speeds can i backup wii and 360 games from the 360 itself. i've also heard that when the 8164 is used as a replacement drive that it doesn't read dual layer dvd's, true? i guess my real question here is that i already have one drive and if possible i would like to back up 360 and wii games without the hassle of buying another drive.

thanks in advance

For backing up 360 games, you need an 0800 flashed oem Samsung/Benq or a kreon flashed sh162c/sh162d/sh163a/sh163b

that was the worst sarcastic remark i have ever heard. yes i know he said an oem drive could be used for backup. i asked if it could be done IN the 360. if i wanted to backup a 360 game, of course i would have an oem drive that came with the console. could someone let me know without sarcasm or point me in the right direction of a tutorial that lets you backup with the 360 (without removing top of the drive)

How is that sarcastic? I pointed out the answer that I assumed you had overlooked, as it is the answer to your question.  And where exactly did you mention IN the console?
