I can't wait for MIDI music. Oh man.

Doom just isn't doom without the music :(

I will paypal a nice donation when it's finally added.

MIDI music support is also top of my wish-list. Unfortunately I'm not nearly good enough with code to able to make it happen. All the WinDoom MUS2MIDI code is in there but I presume there's some problem with getting the Xbox to output it properly. Needless to say all my attempts to experiment have failed miserably.  :(

If anyone with more coding experience can help then please let me know.

Hello,

How does one play custom wads and add-ons with this? Still had Doom 1 on cd and it works real nice, thank you.

Just put whichever WAD you want to use in the same directory as the DoomX default.xbe (only one at a time though).

Add-ons that rely on a patched Doom executable file won't work however.

So no simpsons or aliens TC wads? Just Ultimate and Doom II?

plutonia and tnt also play fine.  still would love to have a wad selector :)  instead of just changing wads manualy.

NIN Doom also works nicely  :P  :D

You can use something like Evo-X as a WAD selector. Just put each WAD in its own directory with a copy of the DoomX default.xbe and Media folder. Then edit you evox.ini to point to each new directory and identify the version of Doom that's in it.

You can make multi-WAD DoomX discs in this way too. Just delete the whole [Menu] section of the evox.ini and replace it with just the Doom directories. Result; the disc will boot straight to a list of Doom WADs for you to choose from. ^_^

I take it that simpsons tc and aliens tc are patched .exe's because they come with 3 .wad files, correct me if i'm wrong?
