Amen!

People need to realise developpers are not slaves and don't give a shit about requests.  They work on stuff they enjoy, not <insert your favorite classic here>. If you like something so much, get going at it yourself. It's all in the realm of "possible".

I'd say if you desire something to be ported, the best way NOT to get it is to request it. If you want to look f*cking ridiculous (like many have before and many will), then request something thats not feasible, such as this  :P <

I dont think its that ridiculous of an idea if it runs off the quake 2 engine and that has already ben ported, but even if its still not possible there wasent any need of that kind of lash out, i mean unless theres an obviously visible rule posted on the board then people are still gonna ask these kind of things. <

If it has already been ported, then why isn't it open source? :uhh:

Games can only be ported if the source code is released. If the source code is not avaliable then it can't be ported.

Without the source code, porting is next to impossible.

Not impossible, my friend is currently porting a game that he only has the engine source code to (Blood for the pc)

Not impossible, just a HELL of a lot of work that most people aren't willing to do, which is fair enough. <
