Please Clear The Disc!?
« on: January 10, 2007, 03:16:00 PM »

The problem:

Some games (for instance Rainbow6: Vegas) works perfectly all the time!

BUT:
Some games (Gears of War, Splinter Cell-Double Agent, for example), works perfectly to a certain "level" or "mission".
Then I get the message that the disc is dirty and I should clean it and restart the Xbox360. It always happens at exactly the same place i the games. WHY?? What is wrong?
The discs are not dirty and everything else works fine!

-I have the xtreme 5.2 flash to my xbox 360.
-A Samsung player
-The games are on DVD+R DL discs (Brand: MediaRange, but i don't think that matters)

What can i do? Anybody having a similiar problem?

Yes i agree, although verbatims are a bit more expensive, they are the best, i had problems at first using them with my Hitachi drive with f/w Opa 1.21, but i upgraded to 1.23 with better media detection and they work flawlessly. the thing is verbatims are now going to 8X, and i think maybe soon it will be hard to get 2.4X at a decent price, i paid £1.80 each for the last lot i got, they were jewel cased and printable.
