Trackball For Xbox
« on: December 10, 2004, 09:21:00 AM »

I use mame a lot so I was thinking of buy a good joystick or making one myself.
But I have looked around a lot and I see no joystick with a trackball on it.

Is that not possible on the xbox?

thx

It can and has been done. Just buy a trackball for a pc a rather large ball in diameter then trace the leads for up down and then solder to a normal controller

But does marble madness and arkanoid :)

So I have to solder to the D-pad.

A tutorial anyone just before I start!!
If there isn't one I make one as I go along.

Didn't work

The up/down & left/right movement is just wrong.
I move up and I get both an up and down signal.
Same with left abd right.

So I have to look into why another day.
I post some photo's with what I have done so far.
