Xilinx Xc95144xl As Rgh?
« on: April 09, 2012, 08:11:00 AM »

If you know how to program for Xilinx CPLDs, you can convert the source code from the XC2C64A to that chip if it has enough macrocells to handle it. As the XC2C64A has 64, if it has more, and you're hardware savvy  enough to cut all the current traces or just remove the chip altogether and put it on a etched board of your own design so that it works with the correct configuration required of the reset glitch hack, then yes, it can theoretically be used.

The real question here is more along the lines of this: Is it really worth the effort?

But that's for you to decide, either way, I highly doubt it will be converted for you, so have fun if you so choose to go that path.

PS. Did a quick look up, that chip is overkill with 144 macrocells, waste of a chip if you convert it and it's likely worth far more with it's current configuration. Just buy a Coolrunner or equivalent and be on your way ~_~
