Voltage/resistance Checkers

There was mention during development that the 360 would use software to check the voltage and resistance on circuit on the mainboard.  Has anyone checked for this?  Maybe by adding in extra wires between already connected points and checking for errors on boot?

I was just wondering if they actually implemented the checks.

The cost overhead to implement that would be obscene.
I highly doubt it was done.
