Does The Pre Pin On The Nand Have A Location I Can Put A Meter To?

I'm attempting to salvage a damaged nand that was an attempted dual boot mod. My question right now is, does anyone know if pin 38 or the PRE pin on the nand pinout works or not? I looked at the data sheet and from what I gathered, it can go either way. The first pinout I found online says it may or may not be used. I mainly just want to see if I can get the pin reconnected without lifting the entire chip and soldering each leg to a wire.

If this fails I'll probably RGH it and go the long way around getting it back working with a trident. However, I'd much rather find a way to get a good nand dump off this thing first.
