I haven't gotten around to trying out a second DVD drive yet.  It's boxed up due to work being done on the house, so I'll sort that out tomorrow.

I did try it on my old computer which doesn't recognise it has a COM port any more (yeah, I don't get it either), so I'm out of ideas.

However!  I was wondering if it could be a problem with the motherboard.  It would make sense if it's working fine on the computer (with a separate motherboard) and not on it's own.

Any help would be appreciated guys and gals.  Thanks.
