Ixtreme 1.4 And New Xbox 360 Update 2008

Hi im just getting into xbox's from ps3s and i have ixtreme 1.4 firmware. But if i download microsoft updates will it affect the ixtreme and the games.
it might sound stupid but im just learning with 360's


I dunno if this is the right place this post but i couldnt find any topics about it

Hi adz, i`m new here and to the 360 aswell. I dont know if microsoft updates will effect it in any way. But from what I have read you will need to update .NET Framework to something higher than 2.0.
I have installed .NET Framework 3.0 and it works fine for me.
