So just because their site says it's real, then that means it's true?

So are we to assume that Team Xecuter is the trusted source?  Wouldn't you think one of their people would over here posting on this grand debate if they were?

why close it? Maybe an argument for moving the thread, but were on the verge of a breakthrough (allegedly) and were not meant to talk about it?

The real/fake debate is actually healthy, although if I read one more post saying "photoshop", I may start to scream.

Speculation can be pretty good as well. I'm sure we will find out in a matter of days so it is interesting to read how people think it has been hacked and what the  limitations are.
aaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Scream all you want bitch...Its a photoshop. Plain and Simple.

Except you are dead wrong.

MS loses a massive amount on every console sold.

In fact, since the days of the Genesis and SNES, no console manufacturer has made money on the system hardware, they all sell at a loss.

So no, MS isn't doing this to sell more consoles.  They watch the homebrew and modders because they can use their ideas in future commercial products, and they can't legally stop them anyway.

Altho this is true,  in the end it compensates IMO so a modable console would be attractive to them and clients.

here's a thought:

1. i could take a screenshot of a NES game playing in a NES emulator on my PC
2. i could then super-impose this on a picture of my TV screen with an xbox1 clearly seen plugged into my TV

viola, i have a hoax!  you people are so gullible.  all this time you thought you were running homebrew on an xbox1, but it was just your imagination and the power of suggestion exerted by a clever photoshop job.

ok, that prolly wasn't as humorous as i wanted it to be, but the point is this:  just because the pics could easily be faked, doesn't mean they are fake.  i could make a fake ID that says i'm over 21 or i could actually be over 21!

<Rant>

It's too bad XS is full of people (more the likely kids) who have no concept of what is
and what is not possible, most of them have no idea what is actually involved in reverse engineering
and hacking. They come on here follow a simple tutorial and think they are gods.

I have been working with hardware for 15 years, and I graduated as a Software Engineer, I don't come on here telling everyone what is and isn't real.

Before asking stupid questions, do some research like everyone else has to do?

And now more to the point, stop kicking the dead horse.

I have read enough it is / isn't real posts.

Take it for what it is, and wait awhile and you will see what comes of it.

This has to be totally fake.  Just the 360 skin on the original xbox in XBMC.  Pictures were recieved but no explanations or footage. If this is real were are the details and to be honest i wouldnt trust footage of the apparent 360 running it until in box footage confirms it. I have seen some guys working on and may even have finished there original xbox hardware in the 360 case.
Gonna take more than a couple of pics to convince me.
