I might be wrong on this, but I believe WMV files do not require the update to play. So you could try converting your files to WMV. Use either Windows Media Encoder 9, or TMPGEnc. The upside to using WMV is that it handles 1080p with 5.1 audio. Not the answer you were looking for but hopefully this helps smile.gif
