Mkv To Wmv-hd Using Video Encoder Front End?
« on: July 04, 2009, 09:48:00 AM »

I downloaded a mkv earlier to try out the Video Encoder front end I had read about. I am trying to encode an MKV to WMV-HD with 5.1 surround and I found a post (located here) that said using the front end enables you to encode an MKV to WMV-HD without having to jump through all the hoops of the "MKV to WMV-HD" guide.

I downloaded a sample 720p mkv and followed these instructions but whenever I try to load the file into Video Encoder it pops up "An unknown error has occured" and then the program won't run.

If anyone has a good tutorial or some words of advice on how I could get Video Encoder to work I would be grateful.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'm not sure if this is the problem, but you need to have Micrsoft Expression Encoder installed on your PC for Video Encoder to work.
