does anyonw know how to play iso's stright from HDD on my network? does the 360 support this?
i stream all my HD content and Music through my network, but im fed up converting and playing about with converters only to drop the quality. its only Standard DVD Images

no, you can't play isos, just backup your own 360 games and enjoy, since piracy isn't tolerated here

If you had read what he wrote then you would have noticed NO mention of games. The fact that you associate ISOs with piracy says more about you than him.

Gareth - DVD ISOs can only be streamed to an Xbox1 as far as I'm aware, as it was simply a matter of mounting the image on your PC and then sharing that drive letter. Converting to another format will always produce a slight loss in quality but it doesn't have to be a noticeable one. You could use Nero, for example, to convert to MP4, retaining subs, if necessary. As you are ripping your own DVD discs, don't make them ISO format. What is the point in ripping to ISO to have to convert again?

That looks like for the audio not video @ all

Also, Transcode 360 apparently supports ISO streaming as well as VIDEO_TS streaming now. Don't expect menus though, it just converts the video on the fly
