Well here is the first release.

This basically does exactly what is guided in the Easy MKV to MP4 thread on this forum, but automated and easier.

I have tested it under windows XP and Vista and works fine. You will need .net framework installed to run the application.

Here is a screenshot and feedback would be appreciated.

Please leave feedback, both errors and successes.

Thanks

Hi, Firstly thanks for this app.

However I get an unhandled exception error box when I enter a file location. It says 'conversion from string "" to type 'Integer' is not valid

I can press continue but all my options are unavailable.

I am using vista.

Which version of Vista are you using?

You might need to replace the mediainfo.dll with the 64bit vista version if you are using 64 bit... let me know...

The error occurs where MediaInfo.dll is used to extract information about the MKV. Can you provide me with more details about the MKV file in question.

Have you tried any other MKV videos?

So far I have had 100% success rate with the application.

Congratulations on the release b4zzy, saves a lot of time and effort when converting MKV's.

Is there going to be any option in the future for the program not to split files above 4GB or DVD9 rips?

I am in the minority in that i dont stream my HD files to my 360, i much prefer to play them from DVD. I have quite a few DVD9 rips and files around 6-7GB, and would prefer to have the complete file on a DL DVD rather than have 2 DVD's and having to swap halfway through a film.

On a side note, i am using your program now to convert I Am Legend, and it is VERY quick, takes about half the time it takes me to constanly change programs and settings.

Many thanks

I'm running Vista Ultimate x64, with the Vista Codec Pack installed.  I thought maybe it was due to not having the CCCP installed (the Matroska pack), but I'm still getting the error after installing.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mi|enko download the follow MediaInfo.dll as you are running Vista 64 and replace with the one in the directory and let me know if that works:

MediaInfo.dll x64: http://www.sendspace.com/file/38xks3

Note: No codec packs are needed to run this application, the application will run as it is, just need the .net framework only

You, my friend, are the man.  That fixed the problem straightaway.  Sorry that I didn't try that first (thought my error was different than the one above).

Edit: Spoke too soon.  With the 64 bit file you upped for me, I'm able to load the program; however, when I try to select a file to encode, I'm getting the exact same error as bassthing70.

why not use GoTsent, it works withouth problems, and i cannot see why you are devving the same program.
hell it even looks the same as GoTsenT, but GotSent also has the option to mux subs into the mp4 wink.gif

It happens  irrespective of what file I choose B4zzy. Thanks for your patience!!
