y not just use your pc run windows media player buy a 1TB hard drive and i think u can build that for alot cheaper than what they are asking for here i will make a better point get this http://www.gateway.c...t/529668020.php and this http://www.tigerdire...e...&CatId=2459 and and u would be getting more for your money

That is an option but I like the idea of having a 40Watt box, no monitior or keyboard, always on, hidden away in a strong room, sharing all my media to all machines on my net and having storage enough to back up my PCs.

So what is the story with the 360 and NAS? Does it work and how? Is UPnP AV a must or will any NAS box do the job?

Again thanks for taking the time to gead this and to drop any suggestions.
