Black Screen When Playing Xvid/divx

I have been having trouble lately playing avis on the 360 through the USB port.
It worked with no troubles for a good while and then suddenly stopped working.

When I try to watch avis from a USB source (even files that used to work) I just get a black screen with audio.

This happens with external drives and USB flash drives (formatted to FAT32)

Has this happeden to anyone else? I searched for it but came up with nothing.

How do you play the avi through USB? do you just put the AVI on the USB and then into the xbox 360?

Yup, just drag it onto the usb key or external HDD and plug it into the 360.

it worked fine since the update but stopped working about 2 weeks ago...
