PIXELATION on xb360 stream but good when viewed on PCVideo: DivX 5 1280x536 23.98fps 4790Kbps [Video 0]
Audio: PCM 44100Hz stereo 1411Kbps [Audio 1]
Transcoded to WMV: Runs GOOD on both xb360 stream or viewed on PCVideo: Windows Media Video 9 1280x536 23.98fps 3704Kbps [Raw Video 1]
Audio: Windows Media Audio 48000Hz stereo 64Kbps [Raw Audio 0]
When I view the divx streamed to the xb360, the video is smooth with no stalling (the buffering bar never appears). I just get bad pixelation.
I then tried another experiment - to manual transcode a 720p mov file from Apple Trailers instead.
Original MOV (from Quicktime's Movie Info): Can't seem to play this file on xb360 - that's a separate problem I have, but that's not my concern nowVideo: H.264 1264x720 29.99fps
Audio: AAC 44100Hz Stereo
Data Rate: 815.48Kbps
DIVX attempt#1: PIXELATION on xb360 stream but good when viewed on PCVideo: DivX 5 1264x720 30.00fps 2945Kbps [Video 0]
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 44100Hz stereo 128Kbps [Audio 1]
DIVX attempt#2: PIXELATION on xb360 stream but good when viewed on PCVideo: DivX 5 1264x720 30.00fps 5840Kbps [Video 0]
Audio: PCM 48000Hz stereo 1536Kbps [Audio 1]
What I was doing in both DIVX attempts above was to experiment with different audio encoding & different quality levels, but I still get the pixelations.
Now here's the funny thing. I have this native DIVX file:
Video: DivX 5 1280x720 25.00fps 6101Kbps [Video 0]
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 384Kbps [Audio 1]
It plays fine, with HD quality on both xb360 stream & PC... so what gives?? I'm really stumped!
