cant u just plug the usb drive into the 360?

No, I have large (12 GB +) 1080p HD video's that I'd like to play.

The 360 only recognizes FAT32 drives, and they have a 4GB file size limitation.

I have discovered that if I start the computer with the USB drive plugged in, then the 360 will see the files.

However if I plug the drive in _after_ turning on the computer, the xbox will NOT see the files.

Strange.
