Xvid In Mce
« on: December 26, 2007, 10:43:00 AM »

Ive just installed MCE on my 360. It looks so much better than the dash.. shame about the lack of xvid support so far. Any rumours when/if it will be implemented?

The MCE extender is AWESOME, tho.

It's exactly like using the media center on your pc......

And vista media center is my favorite media center EVER.  2004/2005 don't even come close.  And mediaportal/nero/windvd/tvedia/jriver are a joke by comparison.

There was an article on the X-S homepage a couple of months back about MCE support Divx (hopefully Xvid to) in a future update on the MCE guide (this gave speculation that the fall update would get it as well and it did). I think they are still working on the update.

Yer MCE looks awesome but I just find it more convenient to use Tversity (requires no trans-coding).

I must agree mce looks amazing... much better than the dash roll on divx/xvid support :-)

I use a network drive tho attached to a nslu2 so i serve all my media without the need for any pc switched on at all :-P
