No Bass From Cd's
« on: November 26, 2007, 08:51:00 PM »

Ok.  Dvd's, anything stored on my 360 hard drive, or coming from my media extender (win Vista), play fine.  However, when I put in a cd (burned or otherwise), I get no bass thru my 5.1 surround system.  Ive tried changing the functions on my surround receiver, but still, nuttin.  Any suggestions, tips or fixes or anything cuz Im at a stand still.  Thanks, Juli

This doesn't make any sense.  Have you scoped the output?  Below what frequencies do you see the cutoff?

Probably the best your going to get i think.  Arent your cd's just encoded for 5.1 you probably need to change your reciever to "virtual surround" or music mode instead of movie 5.1 DD That should bring your sub back into the play.
