Newbie needs help!
I'm working with an mkv file with 1080p h.264 video at around 11Mbps and DTS 6 channel audio. I followed this tutorial the best I could and used a guide from
http://dtsguide.de.vu/ to convert the DTS file to 2 channel AAC (LC). I was never able to create a working mp4.
I tried the program posted in this reply:I was able to convert the mkv to a working mp4 in windows media player. When I put it on a flash drive and tried to play it on the 360, the video gets crazy artifacts with any motion and is unwatchable, but it looks great on the PC. I also tried streaming from WMP11 as well as TVersity. There's no difference. The video is not jumpy or dropping frames, it just gets very very very blocky with any motion.
I'm wondering how I can see what level the video is at? Maybe the program didn't convert it to 4.1. I don't know how to tell. Any help or comments please?
1. What exactly does the Xbox 360 support for H.264?
· Video Profiles: Baseline, main, and high (up to Level 4.1) profiles.
· Audio Max Bitrate: No restrictions. See question number 6 for more information.
The bitrate of your file is too high.... this could be the cause....
