ok using  ur first method  i sumhow managed to get a mkv file which is  63 mb and is 720x480 from a  603mb vc1 stream  ? did i do something  wrong

and the resulting  wmv file  was 33mb  and was a mess  ie  very very distorted picture    i used sonics hd demuxer instead of the elecard one

sorry man, i got busy last night. try file source (*.evo)>haali splitter (audio output to null render filter)>haali muxer (*.mkv). we're gonna have to make a whole new thread once we get a proper guide, cause i've filled this one with so much disinformation. i've been using it as more of a diary.

So I as well have my full length video working. My only problem (besides the audio) is that the video works ok for a few minutes,  studders a few times, and then freezes although the timer keeps running. My video only wmv is about 16 gb's. Anyone else having any luck?
