Another Question About .ts Files On The 360....
« on: December 27, 2006, 07:14:00 AM »

Vista will not allow TS streaming to the 360.  Installing HDTVPump or Purevideo won't make a difference.  You are limited to streaming WMV and MPEG files.  I've had some success with converting TS MPEGs to PS (program stream) with MPEG2VCR.  They seem to stream ok then.  As far as divx and xvid, there is plenty of information available.  Try the Vista beta of Transcode360, TVersity, or Encode360

Thank you for the confirmation. I tried Transcode Vista Beta, but it crashes. I did notice that Nero has a streaming plugin for Media Center, including transcoding abilities, but it doesn't install right in Vista. I hope that will be fixed soon... Will try the other things you mentioned. Thanks!
