most CRT monitors come with a physically attatched VGA  with a male connector, the xbox 360 VGA cable comes with a male connector aswell but also comes with a female<->female adapter... it doesn't say that on the box though... which it really should cause it's misleading a lot of people, and causing people to go out and buy the adapter again
