I do not have a 360 yet, but am considering getting on but need to make sure it will serve my purposes.

I don't really play games so I could care less about if its hacked enough for that yet, but what I do is watch anime.  The xbmc is the best thing for watching anime I have found yet, it plays every kind of format I have run into.  the vast majority of what I watch is in MKV format with a subtitle track, divx video track and up two 3 audio tracks.

Will the 360 be able to play mkv, ogm, and other less popular video files?  Will it play them off a burned disk?  I doubt it will do this nativly but will it with some mods?
