M2t File Format
« on: May 24, 2006, 01:03:00 AM »

I have set up my mac to save HD video from my cable box (motorolla 6800) via firewire. The format is m2t. I can watch it on the computer in 1080i. I was wondering if wmc and the 360 supports this format. I use streamclip to transcode to mpeg4 and divx and other codecs. What is the easiest way for me to stream my video? Transcode, then stream? Or Just a different transport capsule? I am still learning about video.
I have dual boot on my mac and it will run windows natively. I have XP pro on one partition. I don't wan't to install WMC if it's not going to work for me. Is there any way to stream video from OSX (mac) to 360? Does VLC help me out at all? I hope someone can help me out. I've already spent huge amounts of time on this. Thanks.
