Weird Mce2005 Problem - Please Help If You Can.

Almost sounds like it's confusing the two operating systems.  Why not just install MC 2005 as yuor main OS instead of dual booting?

Well I don't know that I can really help with your main issue, but I can say that if you go to install MC edition of windows then make sure you back up your registry.  I messed up and let it delete my /windows directory to install a new one and I didn't lose any data, but I had to reinstall a few programs.
