Problems Recognizing 80 Gig Seagate Drive

did you partition it after you formatted it?  I read somewhere that it will only recognize 32 or 64 mb, not sure of the actual number though.

also how are you connecting it. Internal IDE with enclosure or just a external HDD? IF not an enclosure, are you using an IDE -> USB cable. THe part of you using partition magic and formatting as FAT32 is correct.

No real help, sorry.  I'm not sure about there being size restrictions, but i am using a 80gig 2.5" usb2 drive.  it reads it perfectly fine. didn't have to partition or format.
