it will play mp3's off of a disc (cd and dvd)

OK, i converted the AVI files to DVD and the burnt them to a -R disc and then when i put them into 360 a white logo comes up and they dont play?

any ideads?

How did you go about converting them? It will still want to see a normal dvd disc structure. You might have to get creative in your disc authoring. You could try using something like Nero Vision to make a dvd with a custom menu linking to each of the converted avi files.
