Why Can't I Ge Media Connect To Work?

I can't START media connect on my pc because it says "The dependancy service or group failed to start"

I can't connect it to my 360 because it says "Setup cannot find an Xbox 360 consile", even though my 360 is on, connected to the network, can go on live, and so forth.

What the FUC* do I do it's pissing me right the F*ck off.

i can't get this shit working either,...


try going into the administrative tools / services and make sure UPnP is started

i use a hub normally with my internet setup with dhcp, live works but the pc and 360 can't see each other, no firewalls either.  used a cross-over cable and the media connect software authorized my 360 but the 360 still will not see the pc.

does anybody know if the 360 does an authentication check on your xp box?
