This seems like the only explanation. All MS would have to do is set up a quick scan when you enter live to see if anything is out of the ordinary (like extra files in the c directory)

I got Xbox Live yesterday and was playing fine and having a good time. This morning I turned it on and lo and behold i was banned!

The switch was still off, I just don't get it. Any ideas? Or more importantly, what the hell can I do about it?!!

well, not much sense in putting a new eeprom in then huh? MIght as well just get a new box for live only... No biggie i guess considering how much $ i have saved using evox!!

Ok guys, lets think he for a second.....

If MS started HD scans, that would mean that a new dash on the xbox to do these scans with.  Have anyone one of you claiming to me all of sudden banned, updated your dash?  I think not.  So its very clear that HD scans is not what is getting people banned.

Use XBTool to edit your BIOS to boot the XBE off the F drive

Just open your BIOS in XBTool and change the default drive path, entitled "Boot Partitions" in XBTool, to your F drive. That is it  

So, put evoxdash.xbe in your F drive and I THINK evox.ini can stay in C:, but that I am not positive about that.

So all you guys spent $50 and bought a Live kit.  Your account shows up as banned and you weren't running a modchip or non-MS bios.  Yet not a single one of you calls them and asks what the deal is?  You purchased a service and you have a legal right to it.  If they deny you service they have to explain exactly why you are being denied.  If you aren't willing to stand up for yourselves and at least get an explanation you deserve to have your games and money taken away.
