                                    1 - YES with a disable switch although your days will be numbered as a mistake WILL be made at some point.

2 - NO with the mod chip ON the XBox "reports in" upon connection and you get banned.

3 - You CAN connect with your mod chip switched off, however as I said you days are numbered. Sooner or later your or a friend will screw up your machine for you.

It's sooo easy to do that there is almost no avoiding it over time.
