Ever since the unignorable news of
Psix. There has been a great facination over Shells (other custom operating systems for the PSP). Due to the temporary hold on PSIX, other developers have stepped up to the plate to try their hand.
PSP-OSS has been working on a shell for PSP over the last few months and it has been showing some really nice progress. The psp-oss will allow for many similar features to the original PSP OS.

Update:
Seems as though we did not include an example shortcut with the release, appologies for that let me demonstrate on how its done. Basically a Shortcut is either a .pol or .ql file either one will work. To create this file open notepad and enter the physical location of the file you want to launch. In other words to launch an eboot in the root of your memory stick you would put this in notepad.
ms0:/EBOOT.PBP
Then save the file as a whatever.pol or whatever.ql file on the Desktop of OSS which is located *:/PSP-OSS/DESKTOP
If you did not seem to manage that use your computer to rename the file to whatever.ql or whatever.pol All the file contains is the physical location of an eboot thats all (IMG:
style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Hope this helps folks.
