Just thought I would keep you up to date on the "dilemma" that McNabb and Owens are having.

Philly 27 Minnesota 16

McNabb 19/28, 245 Yards passing, 2 TD passing, 24 Yards rushing with 1 TD
Owens 4 Receptions, 79 Yards, 1 TD

(I am not going to leave you alone now nemty baby)

The eagles are a decent team, but they're not going to win the NFC East.  Any team can win two games.  If you just go by the final score, you can't tell how close the game was.

They aren't going to win the NFC East?!  I'm not saying 2-0 means they are hands down the best but they went 0-2 last year and still finished great.  Now that westbrook is a year older, they have a real receiver, and added kearse for the constant pressure, I don't see them losing much.  The cowboys are still 2-3 years away from taking the East.

oh saw some predictions too so here are mine:
eagles go 13-3 and cowboys end up with 8-9 wins...

Besides, Philadelphia never wins anything.

This is a near true stereotype and the only thing preventing my hopes from getting too high...

no one in this division is very good at all except for the eagles...they have a dominant passing game, a decent running game with westbrook as jack of all trades, and a decent defense as well

well you can probably tell who I'm looking forward to see win.

I had my doubts about TO as well until I saw him play in preseason.  And Mcnabb, although throwing some bad passes in the last game, is keeping on his feet and doing what he needs to do.  We have a greatly balanced team this year.  All I can say is that my hopes are high.

also... I can't help but think how unstopable the eagles could have been if they resigned Duce Staley, don't get me wrong, I love westbrook but god damn could duce get it done.  Not to mention the moral support he brought to the team.

Yeah, because week three determines who wins the division?

I'm talking about these comments.

Anyone can throw a few lucky passes.  McNabb has weak ribs from last season, and if he goes down they're sunk.  If Owens gets hurt, they have no running game, Westbrook is a second rate player.  This is all meaningless of course, because the McNabb/Owens plan won't work for another 14 weeks.

Anyway, I'm glad the Eagles won this game, I bet on them.  cool.gif

Eagles are unstoppable with TO and kearse..

If mcnabb doesnt get hurt they will go 14-2..

I like DA BOYZ and parcells but defense has slipped a little and really no running
game yet.. I hope the BOYZ can make the playoffs as a wildcard at 10-6 or 11-5.

So far parcells has done well enough to hold on to squeak out 2 wins..

There's no running game because Julius Jones is injured.  George is picking up the slack pretty well though, he's getting a lot of first downs.  I'm still confident they'll win the NFC East.

When they're the decisive factor in an Eagles victory, which they haven't been this season yet.

because it's not about just mcnabb and TO, it's about McNabb and All his receivers.  We have more weapons downfield now.  I love TO but you can't ignore how the rest of the team has been playing.  Also look hoq Hugh is doing back on the eagles, everyone thought he was out of juice but he's sacking like he was a couple years ago.

Thanks for proving my point.  The Eagles are just as good/bad as they have been any season.  They might make it to the playoffs, but they're not going to win the NFC, and I doubt they'll even win the NFC East.
