Is this confirmed news? I knew he wanted out of his contract since Phil Jackson wasn't returning. I'm not a huge Shaq or Dallas fan, but it would be great to see some of these teams which haven't been really up there in championships to get some great talent spread across the board.

dallas was a pretty good team 2 yrs ago, when SA beat 'em in the west finaals. i dont know what happened last year. but even if dallas had shaq, they wouldn't be that awesome. i mean, they won't have any other good players except those two since nash is going to Phoenix.

Well, lakers has to get someone in return. Anyway, dallas now got Antoine Walker, michael finley, jerry stackhouse and they just signed Marquis Daniels for a 5 years contract, so I hope they will get shaq. I will call that a great team....

Now Dallas has just about the starting lineup of the Western AllStars. The Mavericks themselves could be the Eastern AllStar Team!  laugh.gif

i doubt it, i mean come to think of it, even if dallas did recieve shaq, none of their line will have an 04 all star. the west was: tim d, kobe, franchise, k-g and yao. nowhere do i see shaq, finley, nowitski, walker, stackhouse or anyother previous/ future mav. kobe would still be pretty good w/o shaq.

Not to mention that they would probably have to trade Dirk and Finely or something like that to actually get Shaq.
