least favorite would most def have to be walking on sunshine by katrina and the waves... fucking hate that song...

Genereally im not really a big fan of 80's synth pop, new romantic, cheese metal. However I won Depeche Mode's Live DVD from 1988 and absolutly love it. After all without the stuff they did with synthesis and programming so much of todays mucis would be different. Also it would appear to me to be a huge influence on NIN especially Pretty Hate Machine. But most of the music I hear from the 1980's sucks. When I think of anymore I like ill post again

Haha, how true, so many people take the piss but they secretly like it.

I'm a child of the 80s and grew up with 2 music loving parents so there'll always be a place in my heart for the music of the time.

David Bowie, Roxy Music, ABC, Duran Duran, INXS, Spandau Ballet, The Clash, Madness, Tears For Fears, Simple Minds, U2 - all calssic 80s shit. Damn, there's so much quality shit I can't remember!

Before I get pulled up on it, I am aware some bands started earlier than 1980 but I'm listing them as they still continued to release music into the 80s, and even beyond.

To me, music in general is the best thing in the world after women. I couldn't live without either.
