I was just wandering if anyone knew if a program like cpxmenu was ever released for the ps2 its been a god send for my xbox and it makes me resent the backups i make of my ps2 games which are for a mojority of the time no where near the 4.7g dvd-r limit though I guess I shouldnt complain to much now the xbox is making bigger than 4.7g games, also if anyone can answer why we dont get anything bigger than 4.7 dvd-r disks are they illegal or sumfing.

I haven't ever heard of anything like that on PS2. I think it might be to do with the fact the way that the PS2 BIOS reads the disc. And being as the PS2 hasn't got a hard disk by default, there isn't an equivalent of EvoX on the PS2 (yet).

Maybe someday...

The PS2 doesn't use a "BIOS" because it's not a PC. Not in the least. A mod chip isn't even required to boot most backups. And, no, nothing worth your time exists currently like MenuX for the PS2.

Really? Is that so? Why don't you search for "Flip Top" or "Eject Trick"? Granted this won't work for every game. Hence the word "Most". Before you try to school me, know what you are talking about little one. Just because a mod chip has code on it doesn't mean it's a BIOS. Do a little research. And, don't try to flame me.

and just because a mod chip doesn't have the bios on it doesn't mean that the ps2 doesn't have a bios itself: http://ps2dev.pgamers.com

but you're so old school and flame proof i'm sure that you knew that, despite your posts to the contrary.
