The flick, subtitled State of the Union, revolves around a power struggle in Washington (timely!) and stars Ice Cube as a Diesel alternative named Darius Stone (the XXX program apparently only utilizes cool-yet-highly-unlikely names – Scott Speedman is playing a guy named Agent Kyle Steele) who gets yanked from incarceration in order to serve the country, grimace profusely and smack the faces off innumerable foes.

Samuel L. Jackson also reprises his XXX role of the manipulative NSA agent with the crappy scar makeup, while Willem Dafoe plays a high-ranking military man acting as the secretary of defense. Nona Gaye is the extremely hot damsel for Cube’s macking purposes, and rapper Xzibit provides additional cred for anyone who still watches MTV. Lee Tamahori (Die Another Day) is behind the camera

I felt Sam Jackson was miscast for the first movie, and some of Vin Diesel's scenes were a little cheesy.
Cheese doesn't hurt for action films though.  Look at what it did for Arnold.

Die Another Day was terrible.  XXX was terrible.  It had such lines as "bitches, come" and "catch them fast, kill them slowly".

I'm almost afraid to watch the trailer.
